View Tips for Selecting MonkeyRecolor Colors

MonkeyRecolor controls use the HSL, or hue, saturation and lightness, color scheme for selecting colors.

Hue is the basic color. Use the slider controls to adjust the hue.

Saturation is the amount of the hue to include in the final color. A lower saturation value gives a grayer final color. A higher value gives a vibrant, intense color. Adjust the saturation by moving the value of the color quad (the square controls) to the left or right.

Lightness is how light or dark you want the color. Lower values give a darker color, eventually fading to total blackness. Higher values give a lighter color eventually becoming pure white.
